KeJe's approach is unique. In more ways than one. We develop and produce all screens and window decorations ourselves and entirely in the Netherlands. By not outsourcing this process abroad, we guarantee high quality products with short delivery times. All our insect screens and window decorations are mounted in an aluminium profile, which allows for installation without drilling or screwing. The profile is treated with a special coating, allowing our products to be installed in all environments. The matt coating also ensures high colour fastness on plastic, aluminium or wooden window frames. Our high-quality products are developed in such a way that there is a desired solution for every type of window frame. Wood, plastic or aluminium at KeJe makes no difference. With our complete range, we offer a suitable solution for every situation. Whether it is a practical solution against pests or a decorative addition to the interior through window decoration, at KeJe it is all possible under one roof!
History of KeJe
The story of Keje BV began in October 2002 when Rob Dolman decided to develop and produce insert screens for plastic window frames himself. As a proud father of two sons; Kevin and Jesper, he named the company after his sons. And so KeJe was born. Rob starts production in a rented building in Dronten. Within a few years, his customer base grew significantly and more products were added. The premises soon became too small and a second building was rented.
2007 - Purchasing his own premises
In 2007, Rob decided to buy his own premises in Dronten to keep development and production under one roof. Until 2013, only insect screening products are produced. Then this changes and window decoration is added to KeJe's portfolio. The window decoration will be developed according to a new and unique concept. Namely window decoration in a frame that allows mounting without drilling and screwing in the window frame. This frame-friendly solution was still unknown in the Netherlands and was introduced by KeJe.
2013 - Development of a unique window decoration concept
The idea arose because in plastic window frames with a tilt-and-turn window, there was often no possibility of installing window decoration. In addition, it is far from ideal to drill into a plastic window frame. This is because the damage cannot be repaired. That called for a solution and a different way of mounting, we thought at KeJe.
That's why we started developing window decoration, which you mount on the glass slats of the window frame using a magnet and steel tape. The frame is only a few centimetres thick, and thanks to the matt powder coating in various colours, almost inconspicuous in combination with both plastic and wooden and aluminium window frames. The windowsill remains free and the product can be easily removed from the frame without causing damage.
2018 - Construction of second in-house production site
After several extensions to the first building, Keje decides to have a second production site built in Dronten in 2018. This creates not only a larger production capacity, but also the possibility to start powder-coating the frames themselves in different RAL colours. With this move, the entire process comes under our own management, guaranteeing short delivery times and quality to customers.
2019 - Expansion of second production site and development of unique window decoration product
KeJe continues to grow with its frame-friendly and high-quality solutions. With beautiful and affordable window decoration that is practical to use. In 2019, a new hall will be built at the newly constructed premises to be ready for the future. Meanwhile, Kevin and Jesper are also both working within Keje. In addition, this has become the year of the Keje shutter, called the Lamella. This unique product embarrasses the shutter, whereby this product can once again be mounted without drilling and/or screws. This makes our products unique.
2020 - Expansion of second production location
Due to an additional location in Germany and strong growth in the Netherlands, KeJe has once again had to expand. The second production location has been expanded and commissioned.
2023 - Expansion third production location & new head office
Due to strong growth in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium and increased production of window decoration and screen doors, KeJe once again had to expand. The third production location was expanded and put into operation.
2025 - Expansion of fourth production location
Due to strong growth in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium and the launch of free-hanging window decoration, KeJe once again had to expand. The fourth production location opposite the head office has been commissioned and will mainly serve as a location for shipping.
