KeJe Original pleated screen door; familiar, but better than ever

The Original Plissé screen door is a well-known screen door for many Dutch people. Reliable, sleek and suitable for virtually any doorway. At KeJe, we know this screen door like no other. For years, we have sold the well-known Metaco screen door, but for some time we have wanted to develop and perfect this screen door ourselves.

From 2026, we introduce our own original KeJe pleated screen door. A screen door that feels familiar to many, but which has been noticeably improved in important ways. Subtle adjustments that together provide more comfort, a tighter appearance and quieter operation.

The well-known Plissé screen door, with clever improvements

The basis of the Plissé screen door is already rock solid. That is why we did not reinvent everything, but looked at where it could really be improved. The result is a quieter, sleeker and more user-friendly screen door, without compromising on reliability and durability.

Quieter screen door

The KeJe original pleated screen door has become considerably quieter. Opening and closing is smoother and quieter. Especially when fitted indoors, this is immediately noticeable and contributes to extra living comfort.

Tight pull bar without handle

The pull handle has a wider and rounder groove, eliminating the need for a separate handle. This creates a minimalist look and less visible parts. Particularly with indoor-mounted screen doors, this results in a calm and modern look.

Locking clip standard from 1300 mm

For a width of 1300 mm or more, we supply a closing clip as standard. This ensures that the pleated screen door will never again open inadvertently. An additional advantage is that the mesh package is not visible when closed, which ensures an extra tight end result.

Perfect colour match

All parts of the screen door are even better matched to the chosen colour. Think of the end caps and other finishing parts. This makes the Plissé screen door blend in even more with the frame and form one tight and coherent whole.

New construction for day-to-day installation

We have developed our own construction for day-to-day installation. This makes installation easier and faster, while the appearance of the screen door is visibly tighter.

A custom-made pleated screen door for every situation

The Original KeJe pleated screen door is suitable for almost any situation and application:

• mounting on wooden, aluminium and plastic window frames
• indoor and outdoor installation
• in-the-day and on-the-day installation
• suitable for single doors, double doors and sliding patio doors

The screen door is available as a single or double pleated screen door and as a 1, 2, 3 or 4-piece set.

Finding a suitable screen door for a sliding door can sometimes be a challenge. KeJe's Original Plissé screen door is perfect for this. The screen door can be mounted on both the inside and outside of the sliding door. This offers maximum flexibility and makes it possible to always find a solution that fits the available space and personal preference.

Screen door for single and double-leaf patio doors

The Original Plissé screen door is most commonly used for single doors, but it is also very suitable for double patio doors. Thanks to the many mounting options, the screen door can be perfectly tailored to any situation, whether mounted in-the-day or on-the-day.

Robust and durable construction

The KeJe Original Plissé screen door is moved at the top by a slim upper section of only 6 cm. This top box is fitted in-the-day as standard with drilling and screws, but can also be fixed with tape or sealant if required.

At the bottom, the door slides over a bottom guide, which can be made straight or angled and is always glued. The screen door has a chain system that slides in and out smoothly when opening and closing the door.

Made-to-measure pleated screen door in any RAL colour

The standard widths of the Original pleated screen door are 960 mm, 1300 mm, 1600 mm and 1900 mm. The correct width is determined according to the frame's daylight size. For example, if the required width is 1400 mm, the 1600 mm variant is chosen.

The frame of the screen door is available in five standard RAL colours, but can also be finished in any other RAL colour for an extra charge. This way, the Plissé screen door always matches the frame perfectly. The black pleated mesh is inconspicuous and not visible when the screen door is fully folded.

The Original Plissé screen door is constructed from robust and sturdy profiles, making it ideal for outdoor installation. The black pleated mesh moves in and out like a harmonica. The door is operated with the pull strips. The well-thought-out design gives the screen door a solid, robust appearance and makes it a stylish addition to any window frame.
